We have a new window tool!

Hello its Richard from Upvc repair Liverpool here now I know that’s might seem a little dull but it the one of the only things that gets exciting in are Office is you guessed it…… someone got donuts in! No just kidding its the time when we get to invest in a new tool or gadget to make our lives easier and jobs go smoother.

So I thought I would write a quick post about our new tool which we got a couple of weeks ago and have been putting to the test.

It’s called the Sash Mate and its pretty ace!

“So what does it do?” I hear you say well let me tell you.

As Upvc repair men we know that repairing a window sash can be trick at the best of times. The Sash mate tool allows a lone fitter to remove a whole window by himself by acting like a second part of hands from inside the building and not having to use ladders from the outside, This is not only great from a health and safety point of view but stops any potential damage to a window unit if you are unfortunate to drop the window in the middle of a repair which can happen we you take into account the fact that some units can exceed 25 kg’s in weight.

The Sash mate is really a “clamp and brace tool” it holds on to the edges of the window sash frame and has arms that protrude out to support the weight of the window leaving the fitter or repair dude to have two hands free to remove screw and hinges easily.

So what are the benefits we have found?

• The is no working at high restrictions any more as all repairs can be done from inside the building now.

• The is a reduced labour requirement meaning one man can do the job of 2 or 3 people.

• We can repair windows a lot faster now.

• Reduced risk of damaging a customers window.

• And reduced job completion times.
