Is I mentioned in my last months news blast, I had a small mishap with my phone ( dropping it in a river while in the lakes.) and I’ve not got any photos of the work I have been up to in August. So I’ve had to do two months in one news blast.
Now with out lets have a look at the small sample of what I’ve been up to.
Rubber gasket replacement on a upvc door.
On this job a customer was having water / wind getting into there hall from the front door, after calling round to have a look at the door in question I could see that the hinges of the door where in the correct position and that the door had not dropped or became out of alignment, meaning that the seals / gasket of the door was to blame ( as you can see from the before photo.)
After replacing the rubber seals/ gaskets the door was once again weather tight and saved the customer about £600 because the door didn’t need to be replaced like they had been told.

Upgraded Euro Locking Cylinders anybody?
This job involved a customer ring asking about is I could give them better locks on their patio doors after a couple of brake-ins in their area, so like the pro that I am a quick trip was arranged to measure the sizes of the new upgraded Euro Cylinders which the customer needed, new locks were ordered and fitted.
The type of upgraded lock that has been fitted in the picture for the customer are Yale anti-snap locks that are keyed a like meaning both sides of the patio upvc door locks work of the same keys. giving a very high level of security and complying with there insurance companies requirement’s.
Broken Upvc window locking handle repair.
On this job a customer called up asking about repairing two snapped window handles they had in the home, now sometimes over the phone it is pretty difficult to say its just the handle that has snapped or if the handle has snapped and broken the gear box within the window at the same time.
Luckily for this customer after calling round to have a quick look at their problem, only the locking handle its self had snapped and the gear box of the window was still functioning like normal. so with a quick turn of some window screws and a trimming the windows had some nice new handles fitted.

New Bathroom upvc window hinges please.
Now for the last job update for this month, and this job involved a customer who’s bathroom window was closing but leaving a gap letting the weather and cold into the bathroom. So a new set of upvc window hinges were needed to be fitted to allow the window to close and seal properly.
as you can see the window has been removed and glass was correctly toe and healed as the window had not been correctly installed making the hinges wear out quickly and cause the problems.
