Welcome to Upvc Repair Liverpool’s May Update.
May has been a busy month yet again at Upvc Repair Liverpool, with all the sunshine, heat waves and tropical downpours, it’s also been a funny old time too.
So without further a do, let’s have a look at some of the jobs I remembered to photograph, and give you a better idea of what I repair and fix.
New Upvc door hinges, anybody?

A customer rang us, because they needed two new door hinges because the old ones had snapped away! The whole hinge needed replacing, as they were beyond fixing. We had to make sure we used the correct hinges to support the weight of the door, and the style matched the door. Once replaced, the Upvc door was like brand new. The customer was super happy and gave us big thumbs up!
Replacement window gearboxes, anybody?
As you can see, this window gearbox was just a little bit broken, so kind of needed replacing. When a window locking mechanism gearbox breaks, nine times out of ten one side of the window will remain locked shut and the handle will move up and down but not unlock the window. This is because the broken gearbox will not retract the rod, which is now in the frame of the locked window. A new gearbox was fitted and now we are happy to report the window is now working like a champ again.

This job was for a customer who had recently moved to Chester, and wanted a window hinge repairing in their new home. We had already done work for this customer in their old property, so they rang us to carry out the repairs to their broken window, as they knew the level of service and repair would be spot on. So we did a quick trip to Chester with our Upvc window and door repair swag, and soon enough had this window fixed and ready for a bright future of opening and closing properly.
